The 2024 SMCP will be held in the Centennial Student Union (CSU 253/4/5) on the Minnesota State University, Mankato campus.

The Southern Minnesota Conference on Psychology is an annual conference hosted by the Department of Psychology at Minnesota State University, Mankato. The goal of the conference is to promote psychology and highlight student research from a variety of disciplines within the field of psychology. The conference is intended to involve a wide audience of students, faculty, and community professionals.

The 2024 SMCP theme: "Building Community Through Connections"

  • This year’s conference is student-focused with speakers and panelists in the morning describing how the skills they learned studying Psychology here at Minnesota State University, Mankato have prepared them for their careers.
  • A lunch will be provided for attendees. During lunch, there will be a short ceremony celebrating students and other Department accomplishments.
  • In the afternoon, students will present their research in a poster session, along with additional break-out groups, a panel, and psychology demonstrations. Attendees will be able to learn more about psychology and undergraduate research in these interactive and hands-on sessions.

2024 Spring - Intramural Wrestling Tournament

Tournament will take place in the Taylor Center Wrestling Complex. Participants must be currently enrolled spring semester MSU students.
There is no cost to participate in the Intramural Wrestling Tournament. The number of matches is dependent on number of participants.

2024 Spring - Intramural Pickleball Tournament

Wednesday, April 17, 2024  6:00pm
Matches will take place in Schellberg Gym. Any current MSU student, faculty, or staff is eligible to participate. Must sign up as a 2-person team.
There is no cost to play. The number of matches is dependent on number of participants. Tournament will take place on April 17th starting at 6pm.

Spring 2024 - Intramural Golf Scramble

Wednesday, May 1, 2024  2:00pm
The 2-person Intramural Golf Scramble will take place at Terrace View Golf Course, just south of Mankato on Hwy 22.  Tee times will be assigned after registration closes, with the first grouping teeing off at 2pm.
The tournament is a 9-hole, 2-person scramble format tournament. There will be various pin prizes available throughout the tournament.
The cost is $44/per team to cover green fees and pin prizes. Participants must register as a 2-person team. Teams may rent a cart (not included with registration) at Terrace View upon check-in.

2024 Spring - Intramural Golf Singles

Matches will take place at a golf course agreed upon between the two competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.
The only cost for participating are match green fees at whichever course the participants agree to play. Number of matches & number of dates is dependent on number of participants. Play begins week of April 8th (weather dependent).

2024 Spring - Intramural Racquetball - Doubles

Matches will take place at the Campus Rec racquetball courts at a time agreed upon between the competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.
There is no cost to play Racquetball Doubles. The number of matches & number of dates is dependent on number of participants. Play begins the week of April 8th.

2024 Spring - Intramural Slow-Pitch Softball League

Games will take place at the Intramural Softball fields 1 & 2 located along the fitness trail on Mondays-Thursdays from 330pm-1030pm (and maybe some Sundays). Players must be currently enrolled spring semester MSU students. Men's, Women's, CoRec Leagues.
The cost is $60/per team.  A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for registered teams on Thursday, April 4th in Highland Center 1700A from 4:00pm-4:30pm. Game schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting.
Game play starts Monday, April 8th.

2024 Spring - Intramural Tennis Singles

Games will take place at the tennis courts on the south side of campus or at an alternative court if agreed upon by both competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.
There is no cost to play Intramural Tennis. Number of matches & number of dates depends on number of participants. Play begins the week of April 8th (weather permitting).

2024 Spring - Spikeball League (2 v 2)

Matches will take place in the east side of Schellberg Gym on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm-11pm.
Games are 2 vs. 2 with team rosters consisting of any combo of men/women with a max of 3 per team roster. The cost is $30/per team.  A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for registered teams in Highland Center 1700A from 4:30pm-5:00pm on Thursday, April 4th. Game schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting with game play beginning Tuesday, April 9th.

Located on the beautiful campus of Minnesota State University, Mankato this dive camp will be held at Highland Center Pool located at SE Ellis Ave. adjacent to Otto Rec. Center.
