Local music scene stalwart Scottie Miller has been around long enough to acquire a funky nickname (Bones), membership in the Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame, experience touring with blues icon Bo Diddley, a signature style that warps far to the south of his home tundra, and an international reputation. He’s first and foremost a pianist, with a grease-and-grits-slathered approach that suggests an affinity for New Orleans, Memphis, and swampy spots in between.

The show opens with The Paul Mayasich Band.Three decades plus musician Paul Mayasich holds his rightful place in both the Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame and the Minnesota Rock & Country Hall of Fame. He is noted guitarist both on acoustic and electric slide, having been inspired at an early age from Duane Allman’s solo on “Statesboro Blues.” That inspiration has carried him to stages worldwide as he continues to gig at a rate of 200+ shows a year. His band is bassist John Wright, guitarist/mandolinist Steve Lehto, and drummer Noah Levy.

Erik Koskinen is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, whose music is not categorized by sub-genres. Stylistically he is on his own. Influenced by roots music of the Americas and the world, his rhythmic integrity and musical tone is as important as his lyrical content and his artistic intent.

Molly Maher showcases strong musicianship, adaptability, and alluring performances. Molly has opened for some of the best acts in the country, among them: Los Lobos, John Hiatt, Marty Stuart.

Sarah Morris writes endearing, honest, and expertly penned songs encouraging audiences to pull away from the big picture and get caught up in the magic of their everyday minutia. Morris’ music is hauntingly familiar and uniquely her own.

The Cactus Blossoms broke out nationally in 2016 with their JD McPherson-produced debut, You’re Dreaming. Dates with Kacey Musgraves, Jenny Lewis, and Lucius followed, as did raves from the New York Times and NPR, who praised “the brothers’ extraordinary singing.” The band was further catapulted into the spotlight in 2018, when David Lynch tapped them to perform in the return of Twin Peaks, and continued to build on their success with their 2019 sophomore LP, Easy Way, which led Rolling Stone to laud the duo’s “rock-solid, freak of genetics harmonies.”

Dusty Heart features rich vocal harmonies merged with intimate layers of guitar, fiddle and banjo. Barbara Jean and Molly Dean are two songwriters recognized in their own right for their poetic lyrics and distinct vocal styles that when combined create a powerful and haunting sound that takes on a life of its own. Through their shared wanderlust and love of adventure, a passion for the open road, vast landscapes & poetry, as well a mutual love for musical harmony, Dusty Heart has crafted a sound that bridges together the diverse musical worlds of roots, indie, pop and folk.

2022-23 MSU Maverick Hockey Fast Pass Program

The Maverick Hockey Fast Pass Program is designed to guarantee interested students men's hockey tickets to all home series during the regular season. Participants receive one FREE ticket to all home games during the regular season. Avoid the distribution lines on Wednesday and save time. We limit Fast Passes each season so get yours now!

Once signed up, simply bring your MavCard to the Athletic Office on Monday or Tuesday the week of a home hockey game(s) during normal business hours and pick up your tickets BEFORE the general student ticket distribution process begins on Wednesday.

To ensure the best possible student atmosphere at each game, unclaimed tickets will be re-distributed and included in the general student ticket distribution process for each home series.

Ticket distribution takes place starting Monday mornings at 8:30 am in or near the MSU Athletics Office (135 Myers Field House) up until 10:30 am on Wednesdays, when tickets are opened up to the general student population in the CSU. Note: ticket distribution only takes place during the weeks of HOME hockey series. You are not guaranteed tickets after 9:30 am on Wednesdays during home game weeks.

Maverick Driveway Stencils

Show Your Maverick Spirit With a Driveway Stencil
This unique fundraiser sponsored by the Minnesota State softball team will allow you the opportunity to show of your Maverick pride to every car that drives by your house! For $50, student-athletes from the Maverick softball team will paint a four-foot wide by three-foot tall two-colored Maverick logo in your driveway!

What to know:
All orders will be completed in the order in which they are received and as long as the weather cooperates.

- If weather turns bad prior to installation, your Maverick will be painted as early as possible in the spring.

- You will be contacted prior to arrival for painting to confirm a time and an alternate day, should weather conditions interfere.

- To ensure quality painting, the surface must be dry for at least four hours. - Please don't drive on the logo for 30 minutes after painting.

- Your logo should stay on the concrete for up to two years, but with changes in weather and normal traffic on the logo, it will wear the paint down.

- If you are outside of 30 miles from campus, please contact Kristle.wolcott@mnsu.edu prior to ordering.
