Campus Recreation - Memberships

Group Exercise Classes ONLY Membership (Non-student)

THIS IS NOT AN OTTO RECREATION CENTER MEMBERSHIP.
Non-students are considered to be: faculty, staff, alumni, emeriti, spouse of the before mentioned, and spouse of a current student. This is not open to the general public.

This membership includes attendance in all group exercise classes on the Campus Recreation schedule for the semester you purchase the membership. This is NOT an Otto Recreation Center membership - if you purchase this membership you will only have access to attend Group Exercise Classes - you will NOT have access to the Otto Recreation Center and your MavCard will NOT be activated.
Summer Session (10 weeks): $25

This membership is ONLY for attending group exercise classes on the Campus Recreation schedule - this does NOT include access to the Otto Recreation Center, Highland Center Pool, or other Campus Recreation facilities or programs.

Otto Guest Day Pass

GUEST PASSES ARE GOOD ONLY ON THE CALENDAR DATE THAT THEY ARE PURCHASED. ALL GUESTS MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER AND SHOW A PHOTO ID WHEN ENTERING THE FACILITY. Guest passes give access to Otto Recreation Center, Highland Pool (during open swim times) & Myers Field House during open recreation times. Guest passes do NOT include access to the Myers Field House climbing wall or outdoor climbing pinnacle.
All guests must be 18 years old or older, sponsored by and accompanied at all times in the facility by a current student or current membership holder to Otto Recreation Center. Guests must show a photo ID to enter and will not be allowed to enter Otto Recreation Center without their sponsor.

Otto Recreation Center & Group Fitness Membership (non-students)

Faculty, staff, alumni, spouses of the before mentioned and are eligible to purchase an Otto Recreation Center & Group Fitness Membership, which includes access to the Highland Center Pool.

Once we receive verification of your payment for the Otto Recreation Center & Group Fitness Membership we may contact you by email during regular business hours (M-F, 8am-5pm) if we need more information.  But, please allow 1-2 business days for membership to be activated if you have a MSU Tech ID.

Spouses of faculty, staff, alumni, emerita, and students may not have a MSU Tech ID for a MavCard to be activated.  You will need to stop by MF 118 to pick up your membership card.

Otto Recreation Center Locker Rental

Current students and Otto Recreation members are able to rent lockers in the Otto Rec Center.
$20 Per Semester (Fall or Spring or Summer)
$40 for Two Semesters (remainder of current semester and next semester)
$50 for Three Semesters (remainder of current semester and next two semesters)
Campus Recreation provides the combination lock.  There is a $10 charge for lost locks.  There is no towel service.

Stop by the main Campus Recreation Office, Myers Field House (MF) 118, to be assigned your locker during regular business hours, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  Please provide a copy of your receipt for verification purposes.

*Bowyer Field is Located South of the football stadium, on the campus of MSU.

Players will be evaluated by the camp staff in a pro-style workout that will include the 60 yard dash, hitting skill evaluation, and defensive position skill evaluation. Each pitcher will throw a bullpen session to be evaluated by the coaching staff. Hitting and pitching velocities will be recorded and included in the evaluation.


Session Options
  • Workout at one position: Cost $100
  • Workout at one position and pitch: Cost $125
Check-in
  • Check in will begin 30 minutes prior to the start of each session and will go until the scheduled start time of the camp.
Guidelines

Players should make decisions about attending camps based on the attached symptom self-screening form, so please read it carefully. This form must be completed and signed and will be collected from you upon arrival. Any player exhibiting fever or other symptoms of illness listed on this form will not be permitted to participate. Staff will monitor players and immediately send a player home if any symptoms arise during the camp session.

Per University policy, coaches and participants must wear masks/cloth face coverings. At the direction of camp staff, the cloth face covering may be removed in extreme cases and where social distancing can be maintained.

  • Parents must remain in their cars or drop off/pickup players after the event.

Players will enter on the east side of Bowyer Field and will then use the first base dugout entrance to enter the field. To exit the field players will use the third base dugout exit in order to comply with proper social distancing. Players will be line-up with at least 6 feet of separation as they proceed through the registration queue. No dugouts will be used at any time during the camp as a “waiting space” or “on deck” holding area.

  • Players will be assigned to a team (POD) with a specific check in time.
  • No sharing of equipment. Players must bring their own bat, glove, catcher's equipment, batting helmet, etc.
  • Players are strongly encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer.
  • Players will be provided individual bottles of Gatorade for hydration.
    No group filling or hydration stations will be available on site.

Players will go through a showcase format. During camp, players will maintain social distance of 6 feet. All activities will be done using social distancing-infield, outfield, and drill work, as well as batting practice and bullpens. No sunflower seeds, gum or any other food or outside drink will be allowed during camp. Camp will operate with a "no touch" rule--no high fives, handshakes, pat on backs, etc.

All parents/guardians must sign this attached form outlining expectations and completion of the participant symptom self-screening. Completion of this form is required and will be collected at check-in.
