Maverick Adventures- Minneopa Hiking Program

Friday, November 22, 2019  2:00PM Leave Time
Join us for a 3 hour round-trip hike through Minneopa State Park in Mankato, MN.
The trip is being offered through the Office of Campus Recreation & Maverick Adventures Pilot Programming.
Join us for a Maverick Adventures pilot program (Through the Office of Campus Recreation) for Fall hike. We will be leaving campus at 2PM, traveling to Minneopa State Park for a hike and returning the same day to campus.  Minneopa State Park is home to a stunning double waterfall, Bison herd and ephemeral wetlands. We will enjoy scenic views on the Minnesota River Bluff trails, see beautiful fall colors and maybe catch a quick glance of a Bison. The hike is 2.4 miles round-trip. The terrain is easy and flat.   The trip will take around 3 hours in total from start to finish.

This trip is only open to current MNSU Students, as we work to expand our programming options into the Outdoor Recreation realm, we are doing pilot programming with only MNSU Students, however we hope to have similar offerings in the future for students as well as community members.

NOTE: Your tickets will be held at the entrance to Hooligans if you purchase your online tickets November 11-16.

JOYANN PARKER is the best Twin Cities female singer you've never heard. Imagine a sober Janis Joplin. And that's a good thing. Imagine a taller Shemekia Copeland without the my-dad-was-a-blues-star pedigree. And that's a really good thing. There's pain in Parker's heart - and in just about every song she writes and sings. And, onstage, the grimace on her face, the clenched fists and the ache in her roar let her listeners know that she knows hurt...whatever she plays, Parker owns it.  She's a powerful, animated blues-rock singer, capable guitarist and pianist, and a writer of praiseworthy originals
