Come and enjoy the weekend with your Maverick. Events will be planned for Mavericks of all ages. This is a chance for families to learn more about their student's experiences. With this knowledge, families can contribute to their student's success.
 
Registration for Family Weekend is FREE. Most activities and events on campus will be free to students and their visiting family members and guests, with the exception of football and Stuff-A-Plush. Football game tickets are offered at a reduced rate of $5 for adults, free for youth ages 17 and under, and can be purchased when registering for Family Weekend. (Current students are always free!) No refunds will be given for football tickets.
 
Students are asked to pick up your football tickets on Thursday, October 22 in 103 Preska Residence Community between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm or Friday, October 23 in 103 Preska Residence Community between the hours of 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. Tickets can be picked up Saturday, October 11 in the CSU near the south entrance from 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Fall 2026 - Intramural 2-Person Golf Scramble

Friday, September 11, 2026  2:00pm
The 2-person Intramural Golf Scramble will take place at Terrace View Golf Course, just south of Mankato on Hwy 22.  Tee times will be assigned after registration closes, with the first grouping teeing off at 2pm.
The tournament is a 9-hole, 2-person scramble format tournament. There will be various pin prizes available throughout the tournament.
The cost is $48/per team to cover green fees and pin prizes. Participants must register as a 2-person team. Teams may rent a cart (not included with registration) at Terrace View upon check-in.

2026 Fall - Intramural Sand Volleyball Tournament (4 v 4)

Saturday, September 26, 2026  Tourney begins around 9am on Sat (& Sun if needed)
Games will take place on Saturday, September 26 & Sunday, September 27 (if necessary) starting around 9:00am at the sand volleyball court next to the UDC. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students.
Games are 4 vs. 4 with team rosters consisting of any combo of men/women with a max of 6 per team roster. The cost is $30/per team.  A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams in Highland Center 1700A from 5:00pm-5:30pm on Thursday, September 24.

Tuesday, October 13, 2026  7:00pm start time
Tournament will take place on Tuesday, October 13 starting at 7:00pm in Schellberg Gym. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students.
Games are 6 v 6 with a max of 8 on the roster. The cost is $30/per team.  A mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams on Thursday, October 8th in Highland Center 1700A from 4:30pm-5:00pm. Tourney rules & schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting.

1-night Tournament will take place at the MSU Racquetball Courts in Pennington Hall on Monday, October 26 starting at 6:00pm. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students.
Games are 4 v 4 with a mix of any four players you want. The cost is $30/per team. A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams on Thursday, October 22 in Highland Center 1700A from 4:30pm-5:00pm.

Tournament will take place in Myers Field House. Any current MSU student, faculty, or staff is eligible to participate. Must sign up as a 2-person team.
There is no cost to play. The number of matches is dependent on number of participants. Tournament will take place on Wednesday, November 18th starting at 6pm.

Matches will take place at the dart boards in the Maverick Bullpen at a time agreed upon between the competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.
There is no fee from Campus Recreation to play Intramural 501 Dart Singles, however players will be responsible for board fees charged by the Maverick Bullpen.  The number of matches & number of dates is dependent on number of participants.

Games will take place in Otto Recreation Center on Monday-Thursday nights between 6pm-11pm. Teams consist of male & female players. Must have at least 2 males & 2 females signed-in each game to start a game. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students.
The cost is $60/per team. A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams on Thursday, October 22 in Highland Center 1700A from 4:00pm-4:30pm. Game schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting with game play beginning Monday, October 26.

Games will take place 7pm-11pm Monday thru Thursday evenings inside the All-Sports Dome. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students. Men's, Women's, CoRec Leagues.
Play is 7v7. The cost is $60/per team.  A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams on Thursday, September 17 in Highland Center 1700A from 4:30pm-5:00pm. Game schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting with play beginning Monday, September 21.

2026 Fall - Intramural Flag Football League (7v7)

Games will take place at the Intramural Flag Football fields 1 & 2 located south of Lot 1 on Monday's-Thursday's from 330pm-630p. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students. Men's, Women's, CoRec Leagues.
The cost is $60/per team.  A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams on Thursday, September 10th in Highland Center 1700A from 4:00pm-4:30pm. Game schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting. Game play starts Monday, September 14th. All players must have shorts/pants with NO pockets or belt loops.

2026 Fall - Intramural Golf - Singles

Matches will take place at a golf course agreed upon between the two competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.
The only cost for participating are match green fees at whichever course the participants agree to play. Number of matches & number of dates is dependent on number of participants. Play begins the week of September 14th.

2026 Fall - Intramural NCAA & NFL Weekly Football Pick'em

Intramural NCAA & NFL Pick'em will be done online through ESPN.com. If you don't already have a free account through ESPN, you will need to create one to participate.
Participants will make their picks of winners for both NCAA & NFL. Each week the person with the highest number of correct answers for each competition will receive an Intramural champion T-shirt! There is no cost to play Intramural Pick'em. If you don't already have a free account through ESPN, you will need to create one to participate. Information on how to join the MSU Campus Recreation Group will come in the form of a confirmation email. You can join in and play NCAA & NFL Pick’em at any point in the season.

Matches will take place at the Campus Rec racquetball courts at a time agreed upon between the competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.

Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students. Men's, Women's, CoRec Leagues. Play is 10 vs. 10, in CoRec you must have 5 males, 5 females.
The cost is $60/per team.  A Mandatory managers meeting will be held for all registered teams on Thursday, September 10th in Highland Center 1700A from 4:30pm-5:00pm. Game schedules will be distributed at the managers meeting.
Game play starts Monday, September 14th.

Games will take place on Monday evenings in the Maverick Bullpen bowling alley in the basement of the Centennial Student Union. Teams consist of 4 bowlers; any mix of men/women. Players must be currently enrolled fall semester MSU students.
The cost is $30/per team + lane fees ($5/person/night) on the nights you bowl. Game play starts Monday, September 14.

Games will take place at the tennis courts on the south side of campus or at an alternative court if agreed upon by both competitors. Participants will be emailed schedules of play after the close of registration.

2026-27 MSU Maverick Hockey Fast Pass Program

The Maverick Hockey Fast Pass Program is designed to guarantee interested students men's hockey tickets to all home series during the regular season. Participants receive one FREE ticket to all home games during the regular season. Avoid the distribution lines on Wednesday and save time. We limit Fast Passes each season so get yours now!

Once signed up, simply bring your MavCard to the Athletic Office on Monday or Tuesday the week of a home hockey game(s) during normal business hours and pick up your tickets BEFORE the general student ticket distribution process begins on Wednesday.

To ensure the best possible student atmosphere at each game, unclaimed tickets will be re-distributed and included in the general student ticket distribution process for each home series.

Ticket distribution takes place starting Monday mornings at 8:30 am in or near the MSU Athletics Office (135 Myers Field House) up until 10:30 am on Wednesdays, when tickets are opened up to the general student population in the CSU and University Dining Center.

Minnesota State Athletics is excited to launch its Senior Maverick Club presented by Hatanpa State Farm! For $60 for one senior, or $100 for two, seniors in the Greater Mankato Area will receive the following:

Free admission to all regular season Maverick athletic events (excluding men's hockey)
Free popcorn at all events inside Blakeslee Stadium and the Taylor Center.
